EVENTS & PERFORMANCES
Creating this concert has been a monumental undertaking. Simply performing together as a community again after over a year of singing only online is an accomplishment in and of itself. Add to that the technical challenges of two dozen wireless microphones and producing an outdoor event while considering all the guidelines for public health and it becomes a herculean operation for our young organization. That said, WE ARE SO EXCITED!!! It has also been an incredibly rewarding experience to overcome these obstacles and feel the joy and hope emerge again after such a dark and hard year.
Here's what you can expect:
The feeling of people coming together in hope and unity.
Songs that will make you want to dance and smile.
The opportunity to contribute to creating a more welcoming community.
The parking lot will open at 5pm and concert will begin at 6:30 and is expected to run until 8:30. Tickets need to be reserved and range from FREE to $40 per car.
The concert will feature the Tacoma Refugee Choir along with guest performances by Shaina Shepherd, Kingpin X, Rocky Sandoval and Esera Mose, Jr.
Food trucks will be on-site prior to the show. Plan to enjoy dinner before or during the concert.
The LeMay Car Museum will be open that day from 10-5pm, so you can make it a full-day outing. Restrooms inside the museum will be available during the concert.
Remember you must wear your mask anytime you are outside of your vehicle.

Be Part of Our Next Music Video
We recently went into the recording studio one at a time with safety protocols to record the anthem "There is More Love Somewhere". Now in partnership with Asia Pacific Cultural Center, we are collecting pictures and video clips to be featured in the music video. Please consider sharing a picture of yourself (or even better, a 5-second video clip) that expreses your love, support, and unity with the AAPI (Asian-American, Asian, Pacific Islander) community. Pictures and video clips and a signed media release should be sent to by May 19th to be considered for inclusion in the video.
THE DONUT KING: Movie & Panel Discussion
In partnership with KBTC Public Television, Asia Pacific Cultural Center, and Meaningful Movies, we will be hosting a virtual showing of the movie "The Donut King" and a panel discussion. This event is part of our celebration of World Refugee Day on June 20th.
