You can become part of our effort by joining us directly or indirectly. All contributions, whether it's your voice, time or donation help us build a more welcoming community.
You can support us by:
Joining the Choir at a Rehearsal
Attending our Performances
Joining our Board
Making a Financial Donation
We practice on Tuesdays at 7pm at the Tahoma Unitarian Universalist Congregation 1115 S. 56th St. Tacoma, WA 98408.
When you arrive, we will ask for your name, phone number and email address before welcoming you to the circle to sing with us. That's all that's required to join!
This is not your typical choir. There's no audition, no registration fees, and no musical training required. We don't use sheet music and we create a lot of our own songs through improvisation and a collaborative process.
We have worked hard to create a welcoming environment and we hope you will quickly feel the love and acceptance in the room.
Join the Choir
Financial support is crucial to keeping this program FREE and accessible to people in our community regardless of means. Participation in the choir and concerts are currently free due to generous support from our community.
Your donation supports rehearsal space, concert venues, musicians, sound and lighting, snacks for rehearsals, outreach efforts, transportation, songwriting workshops, performances at community events,
partnerships that allow us to connect members with community resources, and much more.
Will you please help us raise our voice for our community with your donation?
In addition to making a financial donation,
you can also support the Tacoma Refugee Choir by:
Hosting a Facebook fundraiser on our behalf. You will find us registered as the Refugee Choir Project and we will receive 100% of the funds collected in your honor
Shopping on Amazon using Amazon Smile. We will receive 0.5% of your purchase total if you enter Refugee Choir Project as the recipient
