HARMONY AFTER HOURS
This season, in addition to the Tuesday night choir, TRC will be offering a new educational program called Harmony After Hours. This fun series of classes will meet twice a month on Wednesday nights (6:45-8:45 PM). All are welcome (including past, present, and future TRC members).
What is TRC’s Harmony After Hours?

TRC’s Harmony After Hours is a regular series of free classes that focus on singing, cultural sharing, and learning about others through music. Participants meet twice a month to learn new skills as well as songs that are selected to help build a stronger sense of community. Over the course of the year, participants will also learn and practice singing traditions from around the world (Ukrainian, Pacific Islander, Gospel, etc.), taught by experts and culture bearers from our surrounding communities. Harmony After Hours classes focus on the process of building community and growing skills, however a public performance opportunity will be available for participants who opt to attend regularly.

Who can attend TRC’s Harmony After Hours?

All are welcome to participate. Children with their parents or guardians are welcome at rehearsals with the expectation that parents are providing full supervision. Youth (ages 8+) may join classes as long as a parent or guardian is also present and supporting their full participation at all times. Children of participants are also welcome with the expectation that parents are providing full supervision at all times.

When and where does Harmony After Hours meet?

Harmony After Hours classes take place about twice a month starting October 18 until May 1. Our final class for 2023 will be on November 29th at 6:45pm at Tahoma Unitarian Universalist Congregation at 1115 S 56th St, Tacoma, WA 98408

Why should you join Harmony After Hours?

Because you’re looking for a fun, accepting place to grow as a singer and to meet new people. Because you are curious about the musical traditions of people around the world and believe that we can create harmony out of diversity.
